3 aspect of your life that requires you to pay attension to listening

Listening is an important factor in learning. Many at times we overlook the importance of listening, especially during conversations. We are always eager to express our own view even without listening to what others have to say.
As a result we commit the crime of ruining conversations, causing arguments by saying the right thing at the wrong time.
This has been a very serious problem in our day to day living. In this article we will discuss three (3) aspect of your life that requires you to pay rapt attention to your listening.

    LESSON 1.       LISTENING TO TALK
When lectures are on the aim of the speaker is to convey vital information to the audience. But then, one will not get any information if one did not hear what the lecturer said. How then can someone hear what is being said if they do not listen? So you see, listening to is the key! When you are listening to talks-be it in class or in Seminal etc. It is very important for you to listen attentively because only then will you get the information you need.
      LESSON 2.    LISTENING TO YOURSELF
Prior to this moment you may have given little or no attention to listening to yourself while speaking. However, this is a very special attribute that you must possess. The best speakers never fail to listen to their own speech. When you speak, always listen to yourself. Why? Because only then will you avoid:
(i)  Passing wrong information to your listeners, and
(ii) Using words that will not sound pleasing to your audience.
If you fail to listen to your speech, be you an expert, a professor. You will never take note when you go off the track (because of our imperfect state). But when you listen to yourself as you speak, it will be easier for you to rectify your mistakes (when you say the wrong word, you will take note and quickly replace them with the right one). That will go a long way in enhancing a smooth conversation and accurate speaking.
 LESSON 3      LISTENING DURING CONVERSATIONS
In the onset of this article it was stated that one of our biggest problem in our day to day living is listening to others during conversations. We highlighted the effect of such. Nevertheless, you can avert argument when conversing with others by paying rapt attention when the other person speaks. Never you make the mistake of trying to speak when someone else speaks, but rather listen carefully to what they say, think about them before expressing you thoughts. As a result you will get the best out of your everyday conversation.
